Founded in 1997, our school, with 250 students from different ethnic and social backgrounds, is located in Muratli, 30 km north of Tekirdag province. We are a lower secondary school in a region acknowledged for being an industrial and agricultural area, with 12 classrooms, a science lab, a library and a conference hall. In accordance with the regulations of the National Education System, we teach Turkish Language, Math, Science, English Language, Social Studies, Religion and Ethics, Music, Art, P.E. and ICT to our students aged between 11 and 14. There are 16 teachers and 4 non – education staff at our school, where the common understanding and the main aim is to prepare not only good and successful students to higher education institutions but also to bring up qualified and well-mannered citizens. As we are a well-known school in our area for our history of bringing up successful adolescents and existing technological infrastructure with smart boards in each classroom, library and conference hall, we want to lead and guide our area with innovative teaching methods and educating well adorned, open – minded, creative, responsible, self – confident and self – expressing students. In a country where internet usage among people aged between 16–70, is above %70, we have to alter our education methods and open ourselves to new developments, and prepare our students to this new era. Carrying out such a project based on fostering better use of ICT will help both our teachers and students develop positive attitudes towards seeking opportunities for expressing themselves to wider extent, using ICT for better purposes and making the education process more attractive. Although our English Language teacher, Ilke Gurer is the responsible name for implementation of the project, we are fully aware that such projects demand teamwork. Our project team mainly consists of our IT teacher, Social Studies teachers, Turkish Language teachers and English teachers to meet the demands of specific project activities. However, services of other teachers of different subjects are available, when necessary.
In case of a change of personnel, due to any reason, other teachers at our school, who are adequately competent in their subjects and eager to help us at any stage, will step up and take more active parts in the project. Even though our school hasn’t taken part actively in an EU project 3 years preceding this project, we took part in a Comenius project with the same responsible person, and are well aware of what involving in EU projects demands and offers. Teachers at our school already try to integrate ICT based teaching materials to their classrooms at basic level and have some expertise on using web 2.0 tools and relevant
software; hence they can help their colleagues and students during the lifetime of the project.
Agrupamento de Escolas Padre Benjamim Salgado (AEPBS) is situated in Joane, a small town which is expanding strongly and benefits from a good geographical location. The AEPBS is a cluster of a secondary school and a group of pre-schools and primary schools formed in 2012. It has around 2600 students, 250 teachers and 85 technical or administrative assistants. There are several educational pathways, including adult education. Apart from the courses especially designed for students looking for higher education, we also provide vocational courses, including multimedia and computer programming. Socio - economically, the community of students is quite diverse, but some students’ background is not well structured, and some of them face lack of resources. Thus, it is a school’s concern to provide them a good educational ground upon which they can gain skills to fulfil their goals for life. The school is widely recognized for its successful results. It’s also our goal to develop new teaching and learning methods, making lessons more attractive, and making the curriculum more flexible, adapted to the students’ own reality, increasingly more meaningful and authentic, connected to digital knowledge and skills. We are focused on enhancing literacy in general, but also digital literacy, preparing our pupils to the demands of XXI century. We believe that technology and literacy can and should go together. A project which links storytelling and ICT brings authentic knowledge into the classroom, develops communication and IT skills, creativity, makes students find and promote their cultural roots, making connections between different generations. Storytelling is the way to build up better learning environments and stronger sense of citizenship. By emerging the participants’ awareness of belonging to a community but also to the European society, this intercultural blend will broaden the views of everyone involved, as well as promote the creation of closer and solidary bonds. Simultaneously, it’s our goal to develop the school’s internationalization, by sharing experience and expertise with foreign schools. Elsa Fernandes is the teacher involved, working with lower and upper secondary levels, including vocational education. She has collaborated in other Erasmus+ Projects, KA1 and KA2. Other teachers: language teachers, particularly Ana Carneiro, teacher of Spanish and English languages; the librarian teacher; ICT teachers; teachers of other subjects. Participation and development of projects is a common practice at this school grouping, and it is highly fostered by its management, being part of one of the institution’s goal. These projects are not only local, but also national and international. Several prizes have been awarded to some of these projects. All the staff is well prepared and willing to develop this project, in case the teacher directly involved is not present in the following years.
Valmorea comprehensive institute includes 8 units, 6 primary and 2 middle schools, located into five different municipalities (Albiolo, Binago, Rodero, Solbiate con Cagno and Valmorea). The school buildings are equipped with LIM, internet, science, music, art and ICT labs. The high number of schools requires a significant commitment of resources. We collaborate with a psychologist and other services to support students, families, teachers.
The socio-economic context of families varies (prevalence of the 2°and 3° sectors). A lot of people work in Switzerland (cross-border worker).
The municipality supports us with an annual contribution (preschool, canteen, transport, educational assistance services).
ICT gives us countless opportunities but we have to experiment, extricate between them and make the most of them. Cultural comparison can help each other in this task.

In IES Puertas del Campo, there are students of Secondary School, High School and Profesional Education. There are 72 teachers and an average of 800 students. Students (age from 12 to 18) come from a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment. Most of the students belong to low-income level families.
Now the school has two different buildings, one called IES Puertas del Campo I where Professional Education is taught. IES Puertas del CampoI building is in San Juan de Dios Avenue. The other part of the school is IES Puertas del Campo II, where ESO and Bachillerato is taught. This other building is in Greco 20 street, 51002 Ceuta. We strongly believe that this project can offer our students the opportunity to succeeded academically, as well as learn to get along with each other, creating positive conditions where students and teachers are respectful of the different backgrounds. In IES Puertas del Campo, day by day, teachers face with the challenge of making “cultural responsive”teaching to acknowledge different prospective for all the students while not favouring one group over another. Our school aims to provide a balanced curriculum which involves to reflect needs of students and labour market demand. This project will reinforce the image of our school as modern and effective; it offers a challenging opportunity for future generations. Our key persons involved in this project are experienced specialists. We can count on many teachers who have had positive experiences working on projects applied to our sections of professional. According to the good evaluation of previous projects, applying for this project could be a future challenging experience both for students and teachers. We see the importance of the introduction of a new method and the use of technology, first to motivate students to learn from different sources and secondly to make learners more enthusiastic even on demanding subjects. Thirdly to avoid students put their tasks until they definitely give up the school. The school management and the headmaster are responsible for the budget and the finance of the project. The school management, the English, IT and chemistry teachers will work on this project. The coordinator of the project at school has taken part in contact seminars about European projects and has worked on previous transnational projects. We are pretty sure that the project staff will not change in the next two years, any way, a number of teachers are volunteering to contribute to the project and ready and already prepared to substitute his her /colleague. In Ceuta, we live four different cultures: Christians, Muslims, Hindu and Jewish culture, so we love all the festivities of all the religions and culture during all the year. As our school is linked to a professional school about business and computers, our staff can contribute to this project
